Our Wine Tasting Evening takes the form of a
fun, though informative quiz (with plenty of
clues!), incorporating a blind tasting of 4 red
and 4 white wines selected from some of the
world’s best independent and specialist growers
from our list of over 600 wines.
The format of the tasting is free-flowing and
very sociable, looking at the different grapes
used, a brief history, the styles and a review
of the wine producing countries.

Guests who only
have a casual interest in the subject
quickly become absorbed in finding out the kind
of wine they like, and the bottles which
they should leave on the shelf. It
is usual to follow the tasting with a buffet to soak up
the alcohol. We suggest that
canapés, nibbles or cheese & biscuits are provided plus
water/light refreshments. This
can be easy to arrange yourselves or we can help
by recommending a caterer. We will
happily liaise with your caterers for example to
pair food and wine in order to give guests
a broader experience of matching the wines to
chosen dishes. This route is by no means a
pre-requisite; it all depends on location,
timings and budgets.
We can design the tasting to suit your requirements,
tailoring more
specialised
tastings
of Champagne, Port, Beers and Lager etc. Wines
can be ordered at the end of a tasting,
enabling guests to take advantage of discounts
and offers on the night. Unlike some
wine tasting evenings, we do not operate a
pressurised selling campaign throughout the
evening, if you do not want to buy anything
at the end of the night you are under no
obligation whatsoever.
